Dear Xxxxxxxx
If he can come for the treatment during normal office hours, it should not cost more than 2,000 baht (should be less).
Kind regards
Vesxxxxxx

Thank you very much Xxxxxxxx.

it was alll (sic) sounding so good until that last line.

Aren’t you embarrassed?

I can just pay 10 ponunds (sic) because i have white skin and come from the land of money! I feel sorry for this country sometimes.

I am earning a Thai salary and paying tax to your government. Why should I pay an extra 500 Baht because I am sick.

I will go ONCE but I won’t be going again if I am charged “FARANG TAX”

It is not your fault and thanks for the help but that is discrimination of the worst kind.

Garf

But 500 Baht for Farang is not the discrimination for receiving the treatment!
Do you know ?
For Thai peple who come in the office time, they pay 50 Baht for doctor fee.
When they come in the non office time, hey have to pay 250 Baht!
But Farang pay 500 Baht whenever they coe to meet the doctor.
You should be glad that you are treated in the same standard no matter you
come in or out th office hour.
Xxxxxxxx

Sorry Xxxxxxxx I got worried at the last minute and didn’t make it today.
I am embarrassed that I cannot afford the treatments.

I know that each separate blood test costs around a 1000 Baht. I should be covered by my University but they haven’t even supplied me with a work permit and visa yet.

I AM paying tax so what should I do?

Is it compulsory for my employers to provide these documents or do I have to get them myself? What about health insurance ? Is that covered by the tax that I pay?

The contract I have is only in English and is very basic with no details. I think the standard contract for ajarns at Kasem Bundit is much better, The farangs have to teach 18 hours a week and I think Thais only 12!
